Summary: Setelah dua puluh kali gagal audisi, Eren akhirnya lolos audisi tahap pertama sebuah film. Hanya saja, film itu dibuat berdasarkan novel Titans, dan Eren tahu ada yang tak beres dengan novel itu. Namun, berakting di film yang disutradarai Levi Ackerman mungkin tidak buruk juga. Ditulis untuk challenge GIVEAWAY HARI BUKU yang diadakan oleh ambudaff.

Titans: the Novel

Eren membaca paragraf terakhir novel yang dipegangnya berulang kali. Ada yang aneh dengan novel best seller ini. Ada yang berbeda, yang jelas-jelas tidak pada tempatnya. Namun, Eren tak bisa mengingat apa yang salah. Ia hanya yakin bahwa perasaannya benar.

Ponselnya berdering, membuyarkan lamunan Eren. Dengan tergesa-gesa ia meraih ponselnya dari atas meja belajar yang berantakan. Benar saja, nama manajernya, Hange, tertera di layar.

Eren menyiapkan hati sebelum mengangkat telepon. Tak boleh berbasa-basi, ia harus menolak dengan tegas peran itu. "Er, Hange, soal audisi--"

"Ah! Kau bisa membaca pikiranku, ya? Tepat sekali, Eren! Aku baru mau mengabari kalau kau lolos tahap pertama!"

Eren nyaris menjatuhkan ponselnya. "Apa? Kenapa? Aku, kan, belum setuju ikut audisi itu!"

" Big boss memaksa. Katanya ini kesempatan bagus, dan kau tidak bisa banyak memilih, mengingat bulan ini saja kau sudah gagal dua puluh kali," kata Hange santai.

Eren kehabisan alasan. Memang benar ia tak seharusnya memilih-milih peran. Aktor baru yang belum laku seperti dirinya seharusnya bersyukur sudah berhasil maju ke tahap kedua. Namun, jika tokoh yang harus diperankannya adalah karakter dari novel Titans , ia harus berpikir sepuluh ribu kali sebelum menerima.

"Pokoknya besok jam sebelas siang kau harus sudah di studio! Kau sudah baca novelnya, kan?"

"Hange, tapi... apa aku benar-benar tak boleh untuk mencoba audisi lain saja?"

"Eren, ini proyek besar. Kalau kau tak mau masuk daftar hitam bos, sebaiknya kau menurut."

Eren menghela napas. Ia memijat pelipis dengan jari-jarinya. "Aku sudah baca, kok. Baiklah besok aku ke sana."

"Bagus. Jangan mau kalah dengan Jean!" kata Hange sebelum memutuskan pembicaraan.

Jean. Jelas Hange jadi semangat begitu, ternyata Jean dari agensi saingan juga lolos audisi tahap pertama. Sakit kepala Eren jadi semakin parah.

Eren merebahkan dirinya di sofa panjang, dan matanya tertuju pada novel yang tergeletak di meja kaca di hadapannya.

Kabarnya, penulisnya adalah wanita yang hidup dengan tetap mengingat kehidupannya yang lampau. Wanita itu sendiri menggunakan nama pena dan tak pernah mau tampil di depan publik. NovelTitans karyanya begitu fenomenal, mengundang banyak tanggapan apakah benar kehidupan manusia di masa lalu adalah seperti itu. Dan jika benar, mengapa tak ada catatan sejarah yang membahasnya?

Lalu, selayaknya novel-novel terkenal lainnya, Titans pun dilirik oleh produser. Dan tak tanggung-tanggung, sutradaranya adalah pria bertangan dingin yang selalu berhasil membuat semua filmnya meledak di pasaran. Levi Ackerman.

Pria yang membuat Eren menekuni dunia akting.

"Aaaah, sudahlah," katanya menyerah. Ia mengambil novel itu dari meja dan membukanya dari halaman pertama lagi.

Buku ini memang aneh karena Eren yakin ia tahu sesuatu. Hanya saja, ia tak tahu apakah sesuatu itu, dan mungkin Jean akan menganggapnya gila lagi. Namun hanya ada satu cara untuk menjawab semua pertanyaan ini. Berperan di filmTitans .

Dan mungkin, bisa sembari mendekati sutradara tampan itu.

Kalau berpikir demikian, main di film yang pasti penuh dengan adegan kematian itu jadi tak terkesan buruk. Atau setidaknya, Eren rela membuang impiannya untuk jadi aktor drama kalau ia bisa berakting di film-film Levi.

Namun, sampai keesokannya pun Eren tetap tak bisa menepis perasaan tak enak yang menghantuinya. Perasaan bahwa novel itu memang bukan sekedar fiksi. Dan perlahan, Eren pun sadar bahwa ada satu kematian yang tak diceritakan....

Just wow.

Didn't even notice the award's existence before--I haven't been long in the fandom, that's why. I'm so flattered, really. And look at the other stories, they're all my favourites! I also honestly think this award/nomination should go to my beta and first readers, because they were all the ones who made this story happen.... (it's When the Songbird Stopped Singing, Harry/Draco, M rated). Anyway, I'm enjoying this while I can, plus there are a few stories I haven't read, I think I should read them. hd_smoochfest fic. I tried to include all the requests, though it turned out to be a bit longer than I expected. The result is this somewhat 'Growing Up/Moving Forward' fic. I wanted to show Draco's recovery and character development little by little in this story, and I hope I was able to pull it off.

But it is too late, nothing he can do to get rid of Orihara Izaya's existence from his head. If anything, succumbing to the sinful attraction may be the best choice. But of course Izaya won't let it happen so easily.

Setting: this fic takes place after Chapter 170, when Allen and Kanda often get paired together on missions (my most favorite timeline to explore, lol). Please understand that in Chapter 170, Allen has just known about his identity as a Noah. Hence he still couldn't lure Akuma like the current him does (because Neah still hasn't awakened fully).

Summary: Kanda noticed there was always something different in the air whenever Allen was around. It mingled with the scent of dry summer breeze, forcing him to sniff in bewilderment. But little did he know, that he was one step closer to the point of no return.
